Immediate opening for a Precertification Specialist. Responsibilities include precertification of outpatient lab tests; assisting patients with billing questions related to outpatient testing, sending appropriate clinical information of insurance companies, and completing the appeals process as needed. Facilitation of tissue testing and reporting process. Position obtains preauthorization for tissue analysis and pathology add-ons. Submits requests for Mammaprint, Foundation One, Oncotype, and other testing through user portal; faxing supporting documentation as needed. Communicates with ordering physician, pathology department, and clinic staff throughout the process. Obtains final reports for provider review. Position also obtains pre-certification for infusion therapies, and injections. Qualified candidates should be detail oriented with good organizational and time management skills and have a working knowledge of medical terminology, including coding and insurance referrals. Oncology, and Epic experience is a plus. Candidates must be flexible with good interpersonal skills and have the ability to multitask.
